No accounts, no tracking
Hokori requires no sign-up or email address. You can optionally publish a wallet profile with a name, picture and links. The site runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.
Your wallet is public
When you connect a wallet, the site reads its address to show your balances and fees. Addresses, balances, transactions and published profiles are public. Solana conversion also links the burn to its Starknet destination. Hokori indexes public chain data to display coins, activity and profiles.
Stored in your browser
Local and session storage remember your wallet choice and address, pending transaction and conversion records, recent searches and coins, display preferences, and cached market data. These records help restore the page and follow unfinished transactions. You can clear them in your browser; doing so also removes local recovery records.
Connections and service providers
Services contacted by your browser receive connection information such as your IP address. The services used depend on the page and its configuration:
- Cloudflare, which serves the website and Hokori’s RPC and image proxies;
- Hokori’s market-data service, for coin lists, prices, charts and holders;
- Starknet RPC providers, normally reached through Hokori’s proxy, and a Solana RPC endpoint during conversion;
- Coinbase, Kraken and CoinGecko when prices are read directly, including fallback and additional chart currencies;
- Hokori’s image proxy or Arweave gateways for public images and metadata, and ArDrive’s Turbo service for uploads;
- your wallet, which has its own privacy policy.
Requests forwarded by a proxy are made by that service on your behalf. Fonts are served by Hokori, without requests to Google Fonts.
Protected trades
A protected trade is made from your private balance in Starknet’s STRK20 privacy pool, through Hokori’s privacy adapter, and is proved and signed in your wallet. Your wallet address is not directly named as the trader. Trade amounts and timing are public, and shielding and unshielding are public. Funding, withdrawals and other activity may link a trade to you, especially on a coin that trades rarely.
The privacy system supports authorized auditing: the pool’s auditor can read the details of private activity with its viewing key, on request, and deposits and trades are screened (by Elliptic, for the pool). Your wallet and its relayer and prover handle your requests and see what they contain.
Hokori never asks for, or receives, your viewing key or private keys. Records of your protected trades stay in your browser. Hokori’s market data shows protected trades without a trader, and counts the pool’s balance as shielded supply, not as a holder.
Network metadata can still link you. Before a protected trade, your browser asks Hokori’s services for the quote and the deployment checks, and those requests carry your IP address and their timing, like your public account’s reads. The site doesn’t follow a protected trade’s status itself: your wallet shows it. Opening a trade’s explorer link tells that explorer which transaction you are looking at.
Public content and security
Public coin and profile content is processed by automated moderation using Anthropic. Images and metadata published to Arweave remain public even if Hokori hides them.
When you report a coin with its Report button, Hokori’s moderators receive the coin’s address, the reason you choose and any note you write, by email and on Telegram. No wallet or contact details are sent with a report.
Hosting and security services process request information for delivery, rate limiting and abuse prevention. The site also receives browser security-policy reports, which can contain page and blocked-resource addresses.
